MEMORIES

THOUGHT THIS WAS A SWEET AND FUN POST TO DO !

GOT THE IDEA FROM HEATHER'S BLOG

The Rules:

1. As a comment on our blog, leave one memory that we had together. It doesn't matter if you know us a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about us, we'll assume you're playing the game and we'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

(you can leave us a joint memory comment or an individual one, you decide. just leave us one)

Ooooh I get to be the first one! I have so many memories of my little sis! I guess my best ones are you being afraid of my Jimi Hendrix poster and the day the mouse jumped out of the hall cupboard into your hair! I thought it was so funny, you jumping up and down in the hallway screaming. Of course you fearless "tom boy" sister saved your "little girlie" butt by shaking it out of that long blonde hair of yours! See there was a reason I kept my hair short LOL!

I'm not sure how old I was, but one summer you and Kelly and my mom would alternate hosting a type of "craft day" at your houses. I remember making a potpourri...thing at your house. We took a little loom and put lace and fabric around it with potporri and tied a ribbon around it to hang it up. That was my favorite item that I made that summer. I remember really looking forward to those activities each week and now that I'm older I appreciate even more the time it took to prepare crafts for us. Thank you!

I remember our craft days too!!! Those were the best.

I have LOTS of memories, and it's not fair to pick just one, but I must, I must. Well actually, it's three.

I remember you being in the room with me when all three of my precious bugs were born. I remember you crying when Blaise popped his head out and yelled at us. I remember you coming and sitting with me after he was born because I was SOOOOO tired. I remember you bringing Jason food because he was SOOOOO hungry. I remember when Caiden was born, as soon as he popped out he gave me the thumbs up, so that I would know that all the doctors WERE wrong, and he was perfect. I remember being SOOOOO mad at you with Avery because I was in labor with her for 3 days, because she was waiting for you to arrive. And as soon as you and Dad walked in the labor room, she made her arrival. Thanks for being my Mom when I was a little girl, and thanks even more now for being my Mom now that I am a Mom.

Memories, like the corner of my mind.

Okay, I remember slamming my hand in the car at Hope Depot, and in your efforts to make me feel better you offered to go to the saw aisle and chop off my foot! HA HA HA HA, that makes me laugh to this day!!!

I remember on my wedding you waking me up at the CRACK of dawn, saying "you're getting married today!"

And one more, just for old times sake, I remember ALWAYS losing at our Jallepeno championships!!!!

This is hard to do with people you have SO MANY memories with.

To both of you, I remember all of the awesome family summer vacations we went on. I looked forward to those every year. We always had so much fun together as a family doing some amazing things.

To Mom: I remember the trip we took to Utah when we lived in Las Vegas for one of my surgeries. Not exactly the best of circumstances but it was nice to spend time together just the two of us. Also, I'll always remember and be extremely thankful for the time spent with us while each of the kids was born. I don't know what I would have done without you. On a silly note, I remember the time we were in Portland for one of Heather's dance competitions and you, Nick & me were in the car trying to find the place. You were getting a bit frustrated because we couldn't figure out how to get there. I don't remember the exact gist of the matter but I do remember that Nick and I thought it was hilarious for some reason and we were trying not to laugh because we knew you were upset. Why you ask do I remember this? I have no idea! Probably because you didn't get mad very often.

To Dad: I remember the time you thought we were "all gonna die" because the air conditioner stopped working. Seriously, you really thought we were going to die! I remember having belching contests and usually winning. =) I remember gathering all of our loose change when the MTV music awards came on (back when they used to actually play music) and betting on who would win. And finally I remember the day before I had Addison you told me that my life would never be the same again. Your tone was comforting yet the words scared the crap out of me all at the same time. Let me tell you, BOY WERE YOU RIGHT!

HOLLIE I THINK YOU ARE BEING SO POLITE NOT TO MENTION THE FUNNIEST PART OF THAT AWFUL CAR TRIP, WAS IT WAS GETTING DARK, I HATE DRIVING AT NIGHT ANY WAY, WE WERE RUNNING LATE, I HATE BEING LATE, SO I WAS DRIVING A BIT FASTER THAN USUAL, WHICH I HARDLY NEVER DO, WE WERE IN HEATHER'S LITTLE TOYOTA, AND WHILE TRYING TO MERGE ONTO THE FREEWAY THAT I HAD BEEN TRYING TO GET ONTO FOR THE PAST HALF HOUR, FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON WHICH STILL DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME TO THIS DAY, THERE WAS A LITTLE RAISED MEDIAN BETWEEN THE MERGE LANE AND THE FREEWAY LANE, WHICH, YES, I IN MY FRUSTRATION AND HURRY DID NOT SEE SO WE JUST ZOOMED RIGHT OF THE TOP OF IT! BOOM, BANG, CLANK, GEEZ, THAT SCARED THE DAY LIGHTS OUT OF ME, I PRETTY SURE WE ALSO GOT A LITTLE AIR BORN. YOU AND NICK THOUGHT IT WAS HYSTERICAL, I WAS JUST HOPING I HADN'T RIPPED THE OIL PAN RIGHT OFF THE CAR OR DONE ANY SEVERE DAMAGE, I DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE TO EXPLAIN THAT TO DAD OR HEATHER. YOU GUYS SNICKERED AND GIGGLED ABOUT THAT FOR THE ENTIRE REST OF THE NIGHT, AFTER I WAS DONE BEING UPSET AND AFRAID, (DAYS LATER) IT WAS REALLY QUITE THE AMUZING ADVENTURE. "MOM'S CRAZY RIDE".

My memories will seem quite boring since I only know you via your trips to visit Jared and Hollie....but here goes. I just remember you being so nice...which may seem a cop out, but seriously you are just so nice.

I also remember one day when You guys were out helping Jared and Hollie paint their house here in Maricopa and I am not sure what happened but I said something to Hollie about this being why Jared is my favorite (Everyone knows that Jared is my favorite of Joe's siblings , but I am sure there was also some mild family drama going on here). I didn't know that you were just around the corner when I said it. You popped your head around and said "he's our favorite, too". I still laugh because of the way you said it. I think it must have been a tense day in Estes world.
